As D&D is becoming more ‘mainstream’ how can you see this having an impact as a whole?

First of all, I wanted to say I’m really enjoying Tomb of Annihilation and so are my group (I am a DM.)

My question is, as D&D is becoming more and more ‘mainstream’ with the rise of the internet and as geek culture becomes ‘the norm’ – How can you see this having an impact on Dungeons and Dragons and Wizards of the Coast as a whole?
